ABOUT ME
My name is Patrik Gendiar
and I dedicate artistic
wood carving and cutting
into antler.
The passion for carving has flared in me up in my childhood when I started attending the carving course. Even after years, this hobby still keeps fun, so I decided to start with wood carving at 100%.
I constantly self-educate and seek inspiration. Where are my future ideas hiding? Most often I get them from nature, to which I have a close relationship. I’m watching global artists with a similar focus, looking for different news and discovering trends. All the news are customized to my style and consequently to the customer’s requirements.
MY WORK
MATERIAL
I use wood or antler to carve. Before starting work, I carefully consider the type of wood and the drawing of wood. I am best at working with fruit trees – walnut, apple, pear, plum or maple with the most beautiful drawing of wood. I use antlers from fallow deer, from so-called shovel. This part offers plenty of space for self-expression.
CARVING
I love mainly hunting themes because they are closest to my heart. In particular, I have a close connection with nature, which I want to continue to do. Of course, the customer can choose any subject – I like to get new experience.
THEME
The carving itself is preceded by a sketch or a certain visualization. Most of my work is done immediately. I can imagine my idea immediately on the material, which is a great advantage for me and also a strong side of my skills. I have high and sensitive spatial imagination.
